Course Overview
This 3.5 -hour introductory course provides a foundational understanding of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB ) and its IFRS S1 and S2 standards. Participants will explore the fundamental objectives and core concepts of the ISSB Standards and learn to interpret and apply IFRS's S1 and S2 standards in sustainability reporting. The course is designed to help participants understand the fundamentals of sustainability-related and climate-related risks and opportunities (SRRO and CRRO) and how they can apply these insights to their own reporting and business strategies.

Gain an introductory understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and ISSB.

Learn about the fundamental concepts underlying ISSB Standards, including the objective of reporting and required reporting standards.

Understand the concept of sustainability-related risks and opportunities (SRRO) and climate-related risks and opportunities (CRRO).

Explore one practical case study to identify SRRO and CRRO using SASB sector guides.
