One of the institutional buildings in Singapore experienced a minor fire that affected part of its structure. The institution appointed TAC to investigate the resultant state of the concrete strength and to conduct the strengthening works. A non-destructive test and petrographic examination were carried out and recommended the application of the fiber wrap method to strengthen the affected structure. Given the institution’s operational consideration, TAC proceeded to enhance the strength of the affected structure by using the fiber wrap method as the least disruptive method of repair.
