Her experience as a conservation project officer for the National Parks Board (NParks) involved conducting ecological studies on various mammalian and avian species. Her research experience includes conducting an island-wide census on several wildlife populations in multiple habitat types including secondary forest, grasslands, urban parklands, mangrove forest and intertidal zones. Joanne Lim, Trainer Joanne is an ecologist and Consultant at TEMBUSU with over five years of professional experience. From 2009 to 2018, he was the Divisional Director of Corporate Planning at Sentosa Development Corporation, which is the government agency that develops and manages Sentosa as an international leisure and tourism destination. His accomplishments included developing and implementing the Sentosa Sustainability Plan along environmental, social and governance dimensions; integrating Sentosa’s future land-use with key strategic drivers such as guest experience and sustainability; and formulating a long-term visitorship model. His passion for sustainability traces back to the early years of his career, notably when he received the NYAA/HSBC National Youth Environmental Award in 1998 for integrating environmental sustainability as a prominent focus in his projects. Some of the distinguished projects which Khairudin spearheaded include the development of hotel and common facilities as part of King Bay Development in Hainan Island, China, and proposal for the 116-unit Setia Tropika cluster housing in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Interactive segments are integrated into the course program so that participants are engaged in their learning. Can overseas participants take the GRI course? Yes, we conduct the course completely virtually and accept participants from the Asia and Pacific regions. If you are a resident in these regions, we will be able to register you for the course. I am new to the field of sustainability, which of the two GRI courses would you recommend? Can I include the course in my resume? We recommend enrolling in the GRI Standards course as this is a foundational course and will equip you with skills in how to implement the GRI Standards in sustainability reporting. Yes, after completing either course, GRI will email you directly for feedback and issue a certificate of completion . You can then incorporate the certificate into your CV or LinkedIn.
