Course Overview
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of carbon accounting and its critical role in sustainability and ESG reporting. Participants will explore the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and related frameworks, gaining practical skills in emissions quantification across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Through hands-on exercises and case studies, the program covers organizational boundary setting, data collection, and conversion methods, culminating in a full GHG inventory and disclosure exercise. The course also addresses regional and global decarbonization strategies, carbon pricing mechanisms, and compliance with emerging legislation, equipping professionals to integrate carbon accounting into corporate ESG roadmaps.

01 Apply Global Standards for Carbon Accounting
Gain proficiency in the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 through the lens of international reporting frameworks such as TCFD and GRI. You will participate in practical exercises to define organisational boundaries, learning to distinguish between operational, financial, and equity control to ensure a consistent accounting foundation.
02 Quantify and Report GHG Emissions
Master the technical aspects of emissions inventory through direct calculation exercises. You will learn to:
Classify emission sources across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Convert specific gases (such as CH4 or NF3) to CO2e using Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors.
Complete a comprehensive quantification lab for a sample organisation, calculating tCO2e across multiple locations and addressing data gaps through justified assumptions.
03 Design Effective Net-Zero Strategies
Develop actionable decarbonisation roadmaps tailored to global and ASEAN regional contexts, including Indonesia and Singapore. Through case studies and interactive discussion sessions, you will practice baseline setting, scenario modelling, and target planning, incorporating mitigation strategies such as electrification, RECs, and offsets.

Chandrika TS
Chandrika brings over 14 years of professional experience as a business analyst and project manager, with a proven track record of designing and optimizing business processes to enhance operational performance. Combining her technical background with formal sustainability education, she now focuses on supporting businesses in their transition to a low-carbon economy. Her work involves identifying climate-related business risks and opportunities using analytical tools and technology, and guiding clients through sustainability reporting using globally recognized frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, IFRS/SASB. Chandrika has led the development of sustainability roadmaps, climate risk scenario analyses, and impact reports tailored for internal and external stakeholders. Currently a key member of the Carbon and Sustainability team, Chandrika drives corporate sustainability initiatives and works closely with clients to embed ESG considerations into core business strategies—delivering measurable outcomes that align with global best practices and regulatory expectations.
