Our Managing Director Er. Tan Seng Chuan was invited to speak in the 6th Singapore Sustainability Symposium that was held on 8-10 May 2019 at Grand Hyatt Hotel. Taking up the theme of “Sustainability, Creating Assets for Global Competitiveness”, the Symposium aimed to showcase how economic and innovation opportunities are available abundantly for industry sectors and endeavours that seek to achieve sustainability. In light of this theme, Er. Tan highlighted the role of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the sustainable business transformation in the Asia region. He also discussed the economic outlook in Asia for the next 10 years, challenges encountered by the SMEs, and opportunity due to global megatrends. Lastly, Er. Tan illustrated ways SME could embrace the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals in the corporate culture based on TEMBUSU Asia’s experience.
