TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) was engaged by a distributor and manufacturer of stationery and paper products to provide advisory services in fulfilling NEA’s Mandatory Packaging Reporting (MPR) requirements. The regulation requires affected companies to report their primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging that has been circulated into the Singapore market. This reporting will help to lay the foundation for Singapore’s transition towards an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework for packaging waste management by 2025. TAC assisted the Client in understanding the reporting requirements, provided a method of collecting and presenting packaging data, recommended strategies and solutions in developing a packaging 3R plan, and guided the client in a successful NEA submission.
