Course Overview
This course offers a deep dive into the sustainability reporting landscape. It covers the latest trends in sustainability reporting, including concepts crucial to understanding the differences between the various instruments that populate the landscape.
The course provides an overview of the main sustainability reporting instruments, including the GRI Standards, European Sustainability Reporting Standards, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, the TCFD and TNFD recommendations, as well as key climate disclosure laws in the United States.
The course also delves into the alignment between these instruments, describing how they can be used in conjunction with the GRI Standards to enhance reporting effectiveness.

This course is designed for reporting practitioners who are beginning their climate reporting journey and want — or are required — to report on climate using both the GRI and IFRS Standards. Meet your Trainers

Er. Tan Seng Chuan, Lead Trainer
Er. Tan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Master of Science (Building Science) from the National University of Singapore. He is a Professional Engineer (Civil) and Chartered Engineer (Environment & Water) registered in Singapore, a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, an NEA accredited GHG Lead Verifier and a Senior Practicing Management Consultant (Sustainability) certified by SBACC. Er. Tan has 40 years of professional experience covering Engineering, Environmental and Program Management in the sectors of Sustainability, Climate Change, Environmental, Water, Energy, Manufacturing, Built Environment & Infrastructure, Chemical and Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and other infrastructure projects in the Asia Pacific region. Some of the representative projects include Financing Low-Carbon, Climate-Resilient Urban Infrastructure in Asia and the Pacific for ADB, Jurong Island Air Quality Study for NEA, Deep Tunnel Sewerage System and Changi Water Reclamation Plant for PUB, Petronas Sustainability Development Program which includes low carbon, energy efficiency, air emission and water management initiatives and other Industrial Program Development.

Chris Sng, Co-Trainer
Chris holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and Continuing Education for Professionals in Sustainability with the Singapore Management University Academy. Chris was part of the Carbon Management team at the UN Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) where he was involved in carbon accounting training for companies and research on emerging trends in global sustainability initiatives such as environmental and carbon legislation, carbon pricing, and reporting standards. With close to over 15 years of experiences across the Oil & Gas and the Aviation industry and as a Senior Consultant at TAC, Chris supports businesses in realizing their ambition towards a more sustainable future by providing advisory to better alignment their corporate reporting with both international and local reporting standards such as ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, UN SDGs and the development of their decarbonization roadmap.

Alfred Chan, Co-Trainer
Alfred holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Digital Innovation from University of London (LSE) with Second ClassHonours (Upper Division). Bringing 3 years of experience across the Education, Technology, and Finance sectors, with a primaryfocus on Education, Alfred has cultivated key skills in instructional design, curriculum development, training delivery, projectmanagement, and stakeholder engagement. In his current role as Training and Development Manager at TEMBUSU Asia Consulting,Alfred is focused on developing TEMBUSU Academy. The academy aims to equip professionals across Asia with the essentialknowledge and skills to navigate the evolving landscape of sustainability reporting, including expertise in GRI standards, ISSB (IFRS S1& S2), and the broader SDGs framework.
