Feel free to contact us if you do not find the answers you are looking for. Is the course conducted in-person or online? All of our training courses are live and conducted virtually. Interactive segments are integrated into the course program so that participants are engaged in their learning. Can overseas participants take the GRI course? Yes, we conduct the course completely virtually and accept participants from the Asia and Pacific regions. If you are a resident in these regions, we will be able to register you for the course. I am new to the field of sustainability, which of the two GRI courses would you recommend? Can I include the course in my resume? We recommend enrolling in the GRI Standards course as this is a foundational course and will equip you with skills in how to implement the GRI Standards in sustainability reporting. Yes, after completing either course, GRI will email you directly for feedback and issue a certificate of completion . You can then incorporate the certificate into your CV or LinkedIn. You may also consider taking the GRI certification exam and becoming a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional . Please refer to the next question for more on the exam. Can I take the GRI standards examination after completing the GRI Standards Certified Training? No, in order to take the examination, participants have to complete 4 modules: Introduction to sustainability reporting and the GRI Standards 2021 Update Reporting with GRI Standards 2021 Update Reporting on Human Rights with GRI Standards 2021 Update Integrating the SDGs into sustainability reporting We offer module 1 & 2 in our GRI Standards Certified Training course and modules 3 & 4 in our GRI Reporting on Human Rights and Integrating the SDGs into Sustainability Reporting. Participants who complete the GRI standards course with us will be sent a code via email from GRI for 25% off the exam. The exam is conducted online via proctoring and can be taken any time after completing all 4 modules mentioned above. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes and the exam covers 40 multiple choice questions. The passing score for the exam is 75%. If you fail the exam, you can retake it up to 3 times within a period of 6 months, with at least 7 days between each attempt. To register for the exam, log in to the GRI Academy ( https://griacademy.globalreporting.org/learn/signin ) and select course catalog from the home page. You should see an option for the GRI professional certification exam. Please refer to the GRI exam policy and exam instructions for more information. Are the courses subsidised by Skillsfuture? Unfortunately, the courses are not under SkillsFuture funding at the moment. Home / Projects Projects Indoor Noise Monitoring for TOP Clearance March 25, 2025 All Projects, Environmental & Ecology TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) was appointed by a developer to conduct indoor noise monitoring for the Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) clearance for a 2,500 m2 brand-new residential development. The work included identifying areas most exposed to traffic noise and continuous monitoring to ensure that indoor noise levels were within acceptable levels. Noise monitoring was carried out at multiple levels in naturally ventilated conditions to ensure that the results are representative of the entire building. Home / Projects Projects Review and Verification of Sustainability Performance Target and KPI for Sustainability-linked Loan September 15, 2022 All Projects, Carbon & Sustainability TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) was appointed by a client to perform a review and verification of the Sustainability Performance Target (SPT) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) baseline for a Sustainability-linked Loan. The client is a global multi-disciplinary contractor that undertakes the detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and onshore pre-commissioning & commissioning of offshore topside modules and facilities for FPSOs (floating production storage and offloading vessels), FSOs (floating storage and offloading vessels), FLNGs (floating liquefied natural gas vessels), FSRUs (floating storage and regasification units) and Fixed Platforms, onshore modules for land-based plants for the Oil and Gas industry, as well as offshore and onshore renewables and green energy sectors. With a growing focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agendas, the client strategically embeds sustainability into its business model while seeking incentives from sustainable financial products that are available in the capital market. In this project, GHG emissions reduction was identified as its SPT, as an independent party TAC performed the review of its SPT and KPI identification and verify its GHG inventory baseline in accordance with the International Standard ISO 14064-3:2019. Based on the verified baseline, the client has committed to reducing its GHG emissions intensity targets by a substantial amount in the next 5 years. The scope includes a design review on civil & structure, building services, fire protection and detection system, design for safety, energy efficiency opportunities assessment etc. and to obtain clearance from various planning and technical authorities. TAC also provides statutory site supervision and support throughout the construction stage in order to obtain certificate of statutory completion. Through the conversion process and repurposing of their existing warehouse, TAC supports our Client in keeping their carbon emission footprint low, which is in line with our commitment to SDG#9: “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”. Home / Projects Projects Workshop on EIA and EMMP: “Developing an understanding of EIA & EMMP process” July 16, 2021 All Projects, Capacity Building TEMBUSU Asia Consulting was invited to conduct a one-day capacity building workshop on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP). The participants consisted of officers from a Government Agency, EPC Contractor, and consultants of the project team. The purpose of this training programme is to explain the fundamentals of executing an EIA and EMMP and how these tools can assist developers and EPC Contractors to manage potential adverse environmental impacts from infrastructure development. Comprehension of these topics is important especially in light of the increasing public awareness of environmental and climate change issues, which contribute to the greater scrutiny of infrastructure projects within environmentally sensitive areas in Singapore. As such, it is vital that a thorough understanding of the EIA and EMMP process is developed among all stakeholders, including Architects, Engineers, Sustainability Practitioners, EHS Practitioners, Construction Professionals, Environmental Control Officer, and Government Officers. In the near future, we hope to provide this training for other stakeholders in the Built-Environment and Infrastructure sectors. The study would look into marine farming to identify areas that are hydrodynamically separated. Pathogen characteristics would also be identified and built into the model to study the pathogen movement due to hydrodynamics and water quality with regard to the connectivity of farming sites. Home / Projects Projects Specialist Consultancy Services for a Proposed Residential Development July 3, 2023 All Projects, Environmental & Ecology TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) embraced an integrated approach to transform the forest at Yishun into a dynamic living space by realising the full potential of using natural waterways as part of the region’s holistic beauty. TAC’s team of wildlife, ecology and environment professionals were responsible for conducting a biodiversity study to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment. With the site being a forested zone housing a rich diversification of species, a portion was designated to be kept as part of a nature park area. TAC recommended measures to ensure that future infrastructure and development works would not adversely affect sensitive fauna, particularly due to the generation of noise and dust from work activities. Trainings were also conducted on the biodiversity issues pertaining to the project, including species found at the project site, the importance of biodiversity conservation, and ways to avoid human-wildlife conflict to spruce up the environmental awareness of key personnel. Our services enabled our client to conduct their project in a manner that is sensitive to our fauna biodiversity, thus moving towards fulfilling UN SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 15: Life on Land.
