This Client deals with the packaging of imported goods that are sold both locally and overseas. The MPR was introduced as part of the nation-wide waste management policy to kickstart Singapore’s trajectory towards Circular Economy. This policy has brought businesses’ attention to waste resource management and solutions, such as preparing a waste management approach, measuring 3R (Reducing waste, Reusing and Recycling resources) performance, and navigating associated risks and circular opportunities. The project scope includes guiding the Client through the challenges of meeting requirements set out in the MPR policy and providing advice on how to prepare the necessary information required for the report submission.     Home / Projects Projects Professional Engineer’s (PE) Review and Endorsement for Oily Wastewater System of IWMF September 13, 2024 All Projects, Urban Resilience TAC was engaged by an Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) located at the Tuas View Basin Site to review its design of the oily wastewater system. The facility mainly consists of material recovery facility, food waste treatment facility, waste-to-energy facility and sludge incineration facility. TAC’s role was to review the design of the oily wastewater system of IWMF, including the design calculation, process flow diagram, piping and instrumentation diagram and the general layout. A detailed gap analysis was also carried out to identify possible improvements to the current design, and recommendations were given to these areas to make sure they comply with regulatory and general requirements. The regulation requires affected companies to report their primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging which have been put into the Singapore market. This will help to lay the foundation for Singapore’s transition towards an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework for packaging waste management by 2025. TAC will assist the Client in understanding reporting requirements, provide a method of collecting and presenting packaging data, recommend strategies and solutions in creating a packaging 3R plan, and meet NEA submission requirements. This project showcases TAC’s efforts in assisting businesses in transitioning towards circular economy, thus establishing a zero-waste nation in Singapore and fulfilling UN SDG 12: Sustainable Consumption and Production. The palm oil company has plantations in Indonesia and focuses on the cultivation of oil palms; the processing of fresh fruit bunches into palm oil, palm kernel oil, and palm kernel cake; and the provision of bulking as well as logistics services. On 15 December 2021, Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced its requirements for issuers to provide climate-related reporting based on the recommendation of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and disclosures on board diversity. All issuers must now provide climate reporting on a “comply or explain” basis in their sustainability reports from the financial year commencing 2022. With TAC’s experience in both SGX and GRI’s requirements for sustainability reporting, TAC assists our clients to build business resilience by anticipating potential climate-related issues, leading to the development of action plans and hence fulfilling SDG 12: Sustainable Consumption and Production and SDG 13: Climate Action. We conducted an in-depth analysis of sector-s pecific topics and engaged in comprehensive surveys with key stakeholders to understand key concerns and material topics for the Client.     Home / Projects Projects Specialist Consultancy Services for a Proposed Residential Development July 3, 2023 All Projects, Environmental & Ecology TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) embraced an integrated approach to transform the forest at Yishun into a dynamic living space by realising the full potential of using natural waterways as part of the region’s holistic beauty. TAC’s team of wildlife, ecology and environment professionals were responsible for conducting a biodiversity study to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment. With the site being a forested zone housing a rich diversification of species, a portion was designated to be kept as part of a nature park area. TAC recommended measures to ensure that future infrastructure and development works would not adversely affect sensitive fauna, particularly due to the generation of noise and dust from work activities. Trainings were also conducted on the biodiversity issues pertaining to the project, including species found at the project site, the importance of biodiversity conservation, and ways to avoid human-wildlife conflict to spruce up the environmental awareness of key personnel. Our services enabled our client to conduct their project in a manner that is sensitive to our fauna biodiversity, thus moving towards fulfilling UN SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 15: Life on Land.     Home / Projects Projects EMMP Services for Communication Systems Installation at Mandai, Singapore June 10, 2024 All Projects, Environmental & Ecology TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) was engaged to provide environmental consulting services for installation of a communication system in several sites at Mandai. These sites are part of the Mandai Rejuvenation Project (MRP), which covers 35.4 hectares. The MRP is adjacent to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve which is known to be ecologically sensitive. Hence, TAC’s role as an environmental consultant is critical in ensuring that the installation works do not adversely affect sensitive fauna, particularly due to the generation of noise and dust. TAC’s team of ecologists and environmental consultants recommended measures to be implemented and conducted regular site visits to ensure the measures are effective in reducing the impacts. Throughout the project duration, the EMMP was adapted in an iterative process. As such, companies see the need to assess the company’s waste stream and conduct a waste audit for their operation. As part of the Client’s sustainability efforts, TEMBUSU Asia (TAC) will assist the Client in developing a framework to ensure the traceability of various categories of waste and end-of-life treatment by the vendors. This project is unique as there is limited standards and references in the logistic industry on the best practices. The Client was concerned about the reputational risks associated with its waste vendors and how they can monitor or influence their vendors’ actions related to sustainability issues. TAC supported the client in the analysis of international waste management practices and provided innovative solutions that would help the client to reach their sustainability goals.     Home / Projects Projects Soundness test and Professional Engineer (PE) inspection of the natural gas pipe March 25, 2025 All Projects, Urban Resilience Since 2019, TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) has been engaged by a lubricant and fuel additives manufacturer to carry out soundness test and Professional Engineer (PE) inspection of their natural gas pipe, from the gas service isolation valve to the gas appliances. The soundness test and PE inspection is conducted every 3 years and annually respectively. Soundness test was carried out by a Licensed Gas Service Worker (LGSW) to access the condition of the natural gas pipe, and identify any leakage, corrosion or blockages. Upon completion of the soundness test and PE inspection, the PE issued an inspection report, highlighting the findings of the inspection. As no major defect was observed during the inspection, the PE issued a Certificate of Fitness for the client to submit to SP POWERGRID as part of the Gas Supply Regulations. Previous Back Next
