Home / Projects Projects Environmental Risk Analysis study (Aspect-Impact Assessment) for a Berth construction project in Singapore December 7, 2021 All Projects, Urban Resilience TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) has been engaged by a client to carry out an Environmental Risk Analysis (ERA) study for Berth construction project at one of the Singapore’s ports. The project is conceived as green and sustainable development and required to achieve Green Mark (GM) certification. As part of the GM certification, Environment Risk Analysis (ERA) study is to be conducted to ensure that environmental impacts associated with the project are considered and environmental Aspects and Impacts of products/activities are determined at an early stage. TAC will examine work activities, potential inputs (raw materials, chemicals, and utilities) and outputs (products, wastes produced, recycled materials, water discharges, and air emissions) and assess relevant impacts such as soil contamination, air pollution, noise health effects, and ecology impacts. As an outcome of this ERA study, TAC will develop an Aspect-Impact Assessment Register which will highlight the significant environmental aspects and will recommend mitigation measure to address them. Home / Projects Projects Tree Mapping and Flora Surveys in the North of Singapore July 23, 2025 Environmental & Ecology TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) was appointed to conduct terrestrial habitat mapping, tree mapping and flora baseline surveys for a large forest parcel (113 ha) in the northern region of Singapore with varied habitat types and floral communities. TAC will use a combination of quadrat sampling and line transects to get a representative understanding of the flora species at the study area. Deliverables include detailed records of species list, flora inventory and image catalogues for each recorded flora entry, and in-depth analyses of the flora findings, habitats and ecology. The regulation requires affected companies to report their primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging which have been put into the Singapore market. This will help to lay the foundation for Singapore’s transition towards an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework for packaging waste management by 2025. TAC will assist the Client in understanding reporting requirements, provide a method of collecting and presenting packaging data, recommend strategies and solutions in creating a packaging 3R plan, and meet NEA submission requirements. This project showcases TAC’s efforts in assisting businesses in transitioning towards circular economy, thus establishing a zero-waste nation in Singapore and fulfilling UN SDG 12: Sustainable Consumption and Production. Home / Projects Projects Professional Engineer’s (PE) Review and Endorsement for Oily Wastewater System of IWMF September 13, 2024 All Projects, Urban Resilience TAC was engaged by an Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) located at the Tuas View Basin Site to review its design of the oily wastewater system. The facility mainly consists of material recovery facility, food waste treatment facility, waste-to-energy facility and sludge incineration facility. TAC’s role was to review the design of the oily wastewater system of IWMF, including the design calculation, process flow diagram, piping and instrumentation diagram and the general layout. A detailed gap analysis was also carried out to identify possible improvements to the current design, and recommendations were given to these areas to make sure they comply with regulatory and general requirements. As part of regulatory compliance, an inspection of the natural gas pipe is required to ensure its soundness and thus enhance the sustainability of production safety. Visual inspection of the gas pipeline will be carried out to check the condition of the gas pipe installation (e.g. for any signs of corrosion and leakages) and to observe any significant pressure drops to ensure the safety of the plant. Home / Services / Carbon & Sustainability / Carbon Verification & Validation Carbon Verification & Validation With the Carbon Pricing Act (CPA) mandating registered corporations to submit Emissions Reports annually for relevant facilities, as well as emerging grants and loans for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction projects, reporting of GHG emissions is now more pertinent to the industry than ever before. In order to be a responsible business and a market leader in the industry in today’s climate, companies must put accountability into practice through transparent reporting and verification of their GHG emissions. TEMBUSU Asia has a team of GHG verifiers that supports companies in such projects by providing verification services for carbon abatement in accordance with ISO 14064-3 which covers two aspects: Validation and Verification. Validation involves an analysis of carbon project data and documentation. TAC will deliver a validation opinion statement to ensure adequate GHG emission reduction against the project objective. Accredited GHG Verification on Carbon Tax As an NEA Accredited GHG Emissions Verifier, TAC is well equipped in conducting independent verification through objective assessments of the Emissions Reports by the company. Measurement & Verification for Carbon Abatement Grants With our professional expertise and systematic approach, TAC is equipped to support clients in conducting verification works for carbon abatement projects. Measurement and verification (M&V) plans and third-party verification reports are typically required to be submitted before and after project implementation respectively in the grant application process. Information about validation/ verification process Our validation/verification process starts with understanding project scope, objectives and criteria from the client during the pre-engagement stage. TAC shall ascertain the availability of resources and threat to impartiality before proceeding with the proposal submission. Upon acceptance of proposal by client, TAC moves into planning of validation/verification activities by conducting strategic and risk assessment and preparing validation/verification plan. Notice of Verification will be issued to the client prior to site or virtual audit at the end of planning stage. During validation/verification process, TAC will remotely sample data for desktop analysis prior to site or virtual audit. Finally, TAC will conclude its opinion in a report. Draft report will be reviewed prior to the issuance of the validation/ verification report and statement. Complaints and Appeal Process At TAC, we take customers’ feedback, complaints and appeals seriously and they shall be handled professionally on a timely basis. If there is a reason for the organisation to dispute or appeal a decision, or complain about the validation/verification process, they can address it to Board Risk Committee of TAC directly at feedback@tembusuasia.com . An investigation will be carried out to identify the root cause and corrective action shall be proposed, implemented, and evaluated for its effectiveness. The appealer/complainant will be informed of the outcome of the investigation and the corrective action will be taken. The submission, investigation and decision on complaints will not result in any actions against the complainant. The investigation process is subject to requirements for confidentiality, as it relates to the complainant and to the subject of the complaint. Reference to Validation/ Verification Statement and Use of Logo After the validation/ verification statement is issued, our clients can reference TAC’s validation/ verification statement or use TAC’s certification logo for promotional purposes subject to the conditions stated in the following document.
