GRI Standards Certified Training Course

The course outlines and introduces participants to the concepts of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting principles (content & quality), engaging with stakeholders, material topics identification, prioritisation, and target setting. Further guidance is provided on identifying material topics. Management approach, data collection /compilation and presentation are covered to enhance participants knowledge on GRI Standards.

Besides just covering content from GRI, we provide participants with additional knowledge on the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) to help companies and organizations more effectively disclose climate-related risks and opportunities through their existing reporting processes.

Reporting on Human Rights and Integrating the SDGs into Sustainability Reporting

This course outlines and introduces participants the process for identifying impacts and determining material topics related to human rights and SDGs.

This course is a prerequisite for the GRI Certified Sustainability Professional Certification Exam after completing the GRI Standards Certified Training Course. This course is also open for all levels of management, sustainability practitioners, corporate communications, legal, academicians, NGOs, etc. However, to fully comprehend the subject matter, we recommend participants to familiarize themselves with the GRI Standards by taking the course ‘Reporting with the GRI Standards – 2021 Update’.

Sustainable Banking Training

Finance is a key lever to influence sustainable outcomes and holds great power in funding and bringing awareness to issues of sustainability. This course provides a concise and practical overview on the global sustainability landscape. Participants will understand the roles of banks as intermediaries in green growth and embed ESG into banks’ strategies. Covering the key concepts of sustainable finance, case studies of best practice, and relevant toolkits, this course includes a practical, hands-on exercise in which participants will apply their new-found knowledge in their roles in the banking industry.

Carbon Management

In line with the global net zero commitments by 2050, many companies have also announced a climate neutrality/ net zero targets and pathway. The course will cover an introduction to carbon accounting, setting scope and boundaries using the greenhouse gas (GHG) protocol as well as carbon mitigation strategies and offset.

Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced its roadmap for listed companies to provide climate-related disclosures based on the recommendations of the TCFD. By attending this course, this will help organisations understand better about climate risks, climate risk disclosure and each TCFD recommendations will be covered in detail. Case studies and published report will also be used to showcase best practices.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Training

The course allows participants to gain essential knowledge and awareness on the EIA process through interactions with experienced practitioners within the industry. The course will introduce the fundamentals of the EIA process and provide general introduction to the practices utilized by EIA practitioners.

Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP) Training

The course will introduce the fundamentals of developing and executing EMMPs, regulatory requirements, as well as the reporting process. As practitioners in the industry, the speakers will share insights and knowledge on how EMMPs can be used as an environmental management tool that provides a systematic approach to mitigating negative impacts from construction activities on the environment.
