- Validation & Verification Plan Review for an Oil and Gas Company
Home / Projects Projects Validation & Verification Plan Review for an Oil and Gas Company December 13, 2022 All Projects, Carbon & Sustainability In Singapore, the carbon tax is set at a rate of $5 per tonne of GHG emissions (tCO2e). To achieve our climate ambition, the carbon tax will be raised to $80/tCO2e by 2030. Hence, companies are making their effort to improve their energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. An international Oil and Gas Company has engaged TEMBUSU Asia Consulting (TAC) to review and endorse their Measurement and Verification (M&V) Plan for the application of the Resource Efficiency Grant for Energy . As part of the process, our client is required to submit a verified pre-validation and post-verification plan for quantifying the carbon abatement delivered through the project implementation. Our client seeks to reduce their power and fuel consumption by installing a piece of additional equipment to debottleneck the capacity, thus increasing their efficiency while reducing carbon emissions at the same time. TAC’s services include reviewing M&V plan by conducting validation and verification through rigorous risk assessments, data collection, review of documentary evidence, and interview sessions as well as producing the validation and verification report. This project demonstrates TAC’s commitment to fulfilling SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13: Climate Action. Previous Back Next

- Biodiversity Screening of an Island Offshore of Sabah, Malaysia
Home / Projects Projects Biodiversity Screening of an Island Offshore of Sabah, Malaysia November 19, 2020 All Projects, Environmental & Ecology TEMBUSU Asia Consulting was commissioned to conduct a biodiversity screening of an island offshore the mainland of Sabah, Malaysia. While the land use history of the island has left much of the terrestrial vegetation in a degraded state, the coasts and waters around the island are teeming with various marine habitats and biodiversity that utilises these habitats. Our works begin with the desktop study and field survey of the existing biodiversity to better understand the island’s overall ecological importance in the regional context. From these data that we gather, we are then able to provide recommendations to our Client to safeguard marine habitats, restore and enhance terrestrial habitats, and contribute to sustainable, low-impact developmental plans on the island.
